Makes the spiritual look almost romantic, doesn’t it? Don’t be confused–fertile influences are everywhere this week! Molteni 1838 /image by Artgate Fondazione Cariplo distributed under Creative Commons Attribution-Share Alike 3.0 Unported via Wikimedia Commons

First, just a little something about your upcoming week, from ECLIPSE Weekly Aspect Digest:

I’d like to offer an unusual warning concerning the week ahead: if you’re looking to conceive a child, the time is ripe; if you do not want a child, make sure you take extra precautions, as the Universe is just a poppin’ with fertile energy of all kinds. If you’re in creative endeavors, this is also an excellent time for you–seminal work could be generated at this point, as can a wealth of inspirations that you may spend years after exploiting through your creative work. Even a late garden can flourish in the lee of the Full Moon, so honor all that grows–it will pay off tremendously.

Now, you can’t say I didn’t tell you what’s up! For Saturday we have this:

Vesta enters 29 degrees and we may feel a great deal of pressure around the things we dedicate our lives to, or around home or mate. A sorting out needs to happen, a re-evaluation, so that we are not putting our energy toward, or showing reverence for, outmoded ideas. The Moon’s contact to Neptune assists us with this, and allows us to be truly inspired in re-ordering our priorities.

And for Sunday, the 8th of July:

On the 8th of July Mars quincunxes Neptune, adding fuel and energy to the imagination/ creative fire, but part of what we’ll have to deal with is the need to modify our actions in order to see our vision realized. Don’t balk at having to make a few changes–you’re too close to quit now.

Get the full report, week after week, for $5 per month (or less, with a 6 month subscription!) If you’re here several times a week, then ECLIPSE is for you, with articles, info, and the complete forecast that uses Chiron, Sedna, Ceres, Vesta, Pallas, Juno, and Zeus and offers all major contacts/influences of the transiting Moon for the 7 day period. Support the blog, and get everything you need–order now!

And Subscribers, among various typos in this week’s ECLIPSE, the one on the “sh*t down” of Arafat’s kidneys might take the grammar police cake! My apologies for a truly unsavory mistake.

Mucha’s ‘Seated Woman with Coffee Cup’ is all golden-y and Venus-like, don’t you think? pre-1939 {{PD-Art}}

So sorry, I’ve been MIA getting the new ECLIPSE together: this week an article on finding traits brought from past lives in the horoscope; Venus’ Direction and a Little on Uranus/ Pluto’s perfection, both coming up later this month; plus the Weekly Aspect and Lunar Forecast, and the New Moon! Subscribe and get it fresh in your email, at around 6:30 PM Pacific time tonight, the 14th, and every Thursday.

Here’s a peek, from ‘The Direction of Venus’:

Venus goes direct on 27 June at 8:06:49 AM Pacific time at 7 Gemini 29. Is all this down-to-the-second precision necessary? Not always, but this time she’ll be catching up with the Sun by semi-sextile less than 24 hours after her direction (and of course quincunxing the Earth), and is within  aspect of Pallas/ Uranus (sextile), a sesquiquadrate of Saturn, a square to Chiron, and a quincunx to Pluto, which is less than one degree from exact conjunct Earth. That’s not even counting aspects at more than 2.5 degrees, because we don’t get all sloppy and invite everybody to the party, do we? Of course not; we only want those who will be intimately bound up with (or at least fencing with) our goddess of Love. How else would we know what she’ll have her eye on?

Join the ECLIPSE party–Subscribe! And Thank You to all the new and returning subscribers this week–I appreciate the support!

After the eclipse: What Now?

Did you feel it? The answer is probably yes and no–this eclipse is both particularly stimulating and elusive to conscious perception–and so we enter this eclipse period (active through to the next eclipse set, in six months) both excited (in a way I would almost describe as occurring at the molecular level!) and harboring a distinct sense of mystery about what’s to come (and what’s happening right now), a near-mystic state wherein each of us mentally and perceptually rests somewhere on a continuum between unconscious and confused all the way to centered and enlightened. This enlightenment is of a very specific kind, a knowing that does not involve words or concepts, but that is more of an emotional feeling and sensory feeling experience. It surrounds us, it is us, it envelopes us, and our ability to be at peace with this, a kind of inspiration (almost literally in the ancient sense of ‘to breathe in’) that is like standing deep in the Cosmic flow. Our comfort with this atmosphere is what’s in question over the next half-year, and we will need to ask ourselves, what will we do with this, what will we make of it?

What we see in the present, though, at least in terms of what it suggests about our future, is in one way or another misleading; this we must grapple with on our own. Some advice from ECLIPSE Weekly Aspect Digest:

With the Gemini/ Sagittarius axis energized at this time, it becomes especially important to sort what’s ‘real’ from the mass of information and possibilities included in what we think, what we’re told, what we believe, what Faith tells us is so, and what we learn or experience from our naturally limited, first-person viewpoint. This eclipse brings that challenge into focus, and requires only that we know who we are, in order to handle what comes successfully. To see ourselves as a Warrior for our own Will (which usually causes us so much trouble!) is precisely what is needed in order to remember who we are in the face of projections about where we’re headed that are misleading, that we misunderstand or misinterpret, or that we don’t experience at all (not seeing the shadow of the Lunar Sabian image).

To see much more, please subscribe, and have a wonderful week!

Your Weekend 1-3 June 2012: ‘Healing Possibilities’

‘Healing Simon Peter’s mother-in-law’ from the Codex Egberti 10th century {{PD}}

For Friday the 1st of June:

4:30 PM brings the Scorpio Moon quincunx Uranus and soon thereafter sextile Pluto. Emotions may be radicalized by what we experience; feelings run deep, and soon are launched on a trajectory toward transformation or destruction. Make sure you are the one taking aim and guiding the Plutonian effort. By 8-ish PM PDT we see whether that choice healed or hurt (Moon trine Chiron).

For Saturday the 2nd:

The 2nd is a sparse aspect day, with the only new one formed a quincunx of Saturn to Sedna. This suggests we will sense a need for adjustment to our physical environment, but will be lost as to just what these changes should be! However, Chiron is still within sesquiquadrate of Saturn, and tells us that anything done to heal our surroundings (especially to aid Mother Nature, with Ceres so close to conjunction with Sedna) or to foster positive interaction between authorities and those in their charge, or between mother and child, is a good thing to do, especially if it involves accommodating a relationship by tailoring the physical realm to it.

And for the 3rd of June:

The 3rd sees Mercury trine Saturn and the Sun trine Zeus; agreements become solid, contracts materialize, words hold real weight, and we may find it easy to suppress ourselves or others, or be suppressed ourselves–and at the same time we are oh-so-aware of our ambitions and desires. It’s almost a given that our communications will shine with these wants, and so what we may see are a thousand permutations of those desires as they materialize or are taken away.

All the above is from ECLIPSE Astro Newsletter; want more? Please Subscribe! This week’s issue includes the complete Lunar eclipse report–so what are you waiting for? Go for it! 🙂 and thank you to all who have!

Ganymede, one of Jupiter’s Moons–thanks, NASA! {{PD}}

The new issue of ECLIPSE is out, featuring detailed analysis on the upcoming Lunar eclipse (the only place you’ll see eclipse info by me), commentary, and an aspect-by-aspect guide to your week starring all the usual players, plus Chiron, Sedna, Ceres, Juno, Pallas, Vesta, and Zeus! Order now, and get in on the May special, extended until 2 June. Missing ECLIPSE? Re-subscribe! Think you’re subscribed but didn’t receive yours? Contact me right away! And a big Thank You to all who’ve so generously supported ECLIPSE and this blog!

A little taste of ECLIPSE:

June begins with a meeting of Mercury and Venus at 18 Gemini. This is a situation that may bring a flow of beautiful words, jealous talk, relationship gossip, or reward from contracts or communications. Coming in the midst of Venus retro, we may find the Venusian part of the meeting topsy-turvy; reward may be delayed, flow in an unexpected direction, relationships may yield surprising thoughts or exchanges, and contracts will likely not follow what’s written–with the possibility of litigation to follow.

Sign-up now–don’t miss another thing!

A Little Something About Pluto and Finding Your Passion

Finding your passions in life might be a little like drinking from this fountain, according to this allegory of Love as a mystic and all-consuming experience. By Fragonard ‘The Fountain of Love’ c1785 {{PD-Art}}

This is from the most recent ECLIPSE (the new issue arrives in your email tonight Pacific time) and talks about the role of Pluto in understanding the nature of, and where to find, your passions in the natal chart:

Pluto: is the star in the passion universe simply because of his character; the intensity and depth inherent to the lord of the Underworld make him the essence of passion no matter what his contacts or sign placement. In the natal chart Pluto carries the part of us that is deadly serious, indeed, that registers life and death in our primal consciousness, that lets us know immediately when danger, or the need to walk the life-death-life line, comes into play. In Pluto we are all linked through those passions that are common to all human beings, the ones that drive our major choices, relationships, and that are similar to the life energy dedication of Vesta, but with a twist: where Vesta calls us to dedicate energy in a pure and Selfless way to a cause greater than ourselves, Pluto calls forward that life energy in fulfillment of personal, and often rather primitive, passions. We touch the greater Collective through the Plutonian similarities all humans share and, unlike with the other energies, all manifestations of Pluto are charged with passion, making it a consistent indicator of passion in the natal chart.

To see it all, and get a complete forecast with articles and commentary delivered to you weekly, as well as support the blog, please subscribe! Just so you know, in order to receive the article on finding your passions, you must subscribe before the new issue is released, approximately 6:30 PM Pacific time of the 31st. Thank You!

This is an excerpt from ECLIPSE Weekly Aspect Digest, your place for daily forecasts with all the planets and lights (you too, Pluto!) asteroids Chiron, Vesta, Juno, Pallas, Ceres, Sedna, and Zeus, and all the Lunar contacts–if you’re here daily, even a couple times a week, subscribe now! and get it delivered to your email every Thursday. Thank you, and have a great mid-week!

For the 29th: 4 PM PDT the Virgo Moon trines Sedna. It’s easy to forget our troubles; take the vacation any way you can get it. 10:30 PM PDT the Moon trines Jupiter and sextiles Juno. For some reason it’s much easier to identify with the powerful philanderer than it is to sympathize with the one who’s been wronged.  If you feel like this, just try not to express it, as you know it’s a terrible contradiction to decent (and by that I mean your) values–and nobody needs a shame hangover in the morning.

Void begins at 10:51 PM PDT; Moon enters Libra at 3:46 AM PDT of the 30th.

The 30th is the day we see Mercury trine Zeus and square Mars. Yikes! Ambition and desire will drive interaction and communication, and we won’t be reluctant to wield a hammer (or spear, or tongs, or tweezers, or stapler, or fork, or any other metal instrument) in our quest to get what we want. If very carefully guided, this could give a tremendous boost forward–but most of us are just not that good as drivers. 😦

Your Weekend 18-20 May 2012: ‘Take Shelter, Be Ready’

Pallas is instrumental in this Sunday’s eclipse effect. See it all in this week’s ECLIPSE! ‘Pallas Athena’ by Gustav Klimt {{PD-Art}}

All the following is excerpted from ECLIPSE Weekly Aspect Digest; imagine how much more you’d know if you subscribed! 🙂

For Friday the 18th of May:

The Moon entered Taurus at 3:04 AM PDT. A 1 PM PDT quincunx of the Moon to the North Node sets the tone: we will spend the transit of the Moon through Taurus adjusting, and we may find we have a higher than usual discomfort both emotionally and physically.

Remember that the Mars/ Pluto trine in Earth is still in effect; the urge to do and transform is still strong, and also carries a higher than average chance of pushing us to be overly assertive, or inadvertently destructive, in our attempts to make things happen.

For Saturday the 19th:

On the 19th we see the Sun oppose Juno, which naturally means the Earth conjuncts her. We are looking at the figurative center of the Universe (in terms of consciousness) in opposition to the very personal, individual need for empowerment and a feeling of significance. Those who choose to play ‘the center of the Universe’ will, besides being insufferable! also be oblivious to the true effects they’re having–they may see themselves as beaming goodness and light to the masses, while those around them suffer sunburn, dehydration, and squint in the glare of ego–while everyone else will be seeing things from too small and insecure a position to operate effectively. The key to handling this, and avoiding coming down on either side of the equation, may be to leave matters of power and influence to the side, for now. A low-key, modest approach is an appropriate way of operating during the Dark of the Moon; we don’t really have the energy to pursue power moves at this time, so responding actively to Sun/ Juno may frazzle us and lead exactly nowhere.

And for Sunday the 20th, the day of an Annular Solar Eclipse (New Moon) in Gemini:

The eclipse/ New Moon (occurring at 4:46 PM PDT at 00 Gemini 20) inceptions focus through the image of the Wise Warrior, the anima with native intelligence, poise, mad practical skills, and the fearless martial poise of someone both well-armed (whether that’s figurative or literal) and wise. This persona accepts the role of wise guide for the Self or for others, applying the practical skills, knowledge, and the ripe wisdom of experience to negotiate events of the eclipse–and the entity takes this image on in response to someone (the Juno figure, which sits opposed the eclipse at 29 tense degrees of Scorpio) who is seeking empowerment or exerting authority, and it may be at our expense, or inappropriate to the relationship–

For much more on the eclipse Iincluding the Sabian analysis) and the upcoming week, please subscribe! May’s Special offers include 2 FREE months with a 6 month subscription (for a total of 8) or 1 FREE month with a 3 month subscription (for a total of 4). At only $5 per month it’s an inexpensive way to get detailed info on aspects, configurations, celestial events, and includes Lunar aspects explained for each and every day–Order Now!

Thank You, and have a great weekend!

And the Rest of Your Weekend Brings …

‘Buddha in His Youth’ Odilon pre-1916 {{PD-Art}}

Void begins at 5:55 PM PDT of the 12th; the Moon enters Pisces at 4:42 AM PDT of the 13th.

The 13th sees Ceres quincunx Zeus and Mercury trine Mars; this time the power clashes are serious, among ‘big’ players, and aggressive or angry words come much too easily. We may see one side insist that what’s ‘natural’ is right, while the other side asserts that their position and authority must prevail. Neither is without flaw, and if you are able to withdraw from this, all the better; no matter the outcome, all parties will be forced to adjust, so naming a clear ‘winner’ just isn’t possible–with that in mind, put your energy elsewhere, maybe into keeping your communications as conscious and kind as possible.

In Lunar terms we have only a few striking aspects to take into account; by 10 AM PDT the first is in place with the Moon’s conjunction to Neptune. Emotional confusion is too mild a concept for this! We just don’t know: emotionally, intuitively, our senses fail us. For a lucky few who can let go into the energy, truly ‘zoning out’ and blanking on their current surroundings (please, no one driving a bus or operating heavy machinery may partake!) this can be an ultimate moment of inspiration or creative inception–and if this hooks into the natal chart, especially to the 5th or ruler of the 5th, or the Sun, Moon, or ASC ruler, this can be a once-in-a-lifetime inspiration. Capturing the effect may not be as easy as you think, since it will be other-worldly and experiential in nature–and so our after-the-fact ‘translations’ may never fully capture what is given us in the moment.

This is a small excerpt from ECLIPSE Weekly Aspect Digest, arriving in your email by subscription every Thursday, Pacific time. The current issue covers Venus Retrograde, Thoughts on Archetypes, and detailed aspect and Lunar forecasts for the coming week. Order here for only $5 per month! and get the May ‘Extra Months’ Special–2 extra with a 6 month subscription (for 8 months total), 1 extra with a 3 month subscription (4 months total) Next week, ECLIPSE on the eclipse!

Thank you all, and have a great weekend!
