Telling others what we think easily ‘catches fire’ and becomes angry (or maybe just vociferous) today, but whether words display temper or not, one thing we can be sure of, what people say/ communicate carries the essence of what they truly care about, what they honor and find sacred, and what they will fight to preserve. That tells us to take seriously the message behind the words–and to realize we are conveying the same with our own speech, topic choices, mannerisms, and ‘statements’.

The thing that will really be empowering, much more so than just speaking out, will be the facing of those areas we’ve been ignoring, in denial about, or that we see as unjust. In choosing to engage with one or more of these, we find our way to a highly effective form of personal power expression, one we could not have stumbled upon without taking up that challenging, and probably unpleasant, subject (Merc sxt Vesta and sq Mars, Sun parallel Black Moon Lilith and trine Juno)

Today’s word image is two trees, though young, that must come down. We can’t always judge the ‘life expectancy’ for another living thing–which is why it’s so important to treat everything in our sphere every day with an energy that recognizes both the sanctity of life, and the relentless temporal nature of our current reality.

What’s empowering for us isn’t what makes us feel free, radical, unique, or original–well that’s a bummer–and what’s worse is that we’re actually feeling quite strong, our mentality and spirit aligned with our personal power and authority, but all we’re getting, each time we try to reach out, expand, learn, or interact with the social sphere, is the message that our talents, finances, or even our Love, isn’t enough, or good enough, for some invisible standard we may or may not hold ourselves–and the need to be recognized will, for some, be so great that they willingly abandon their own highest values to court that recognition. I’d stop writing right here and go weep quietly in the corner, if not for this: the way our minds and thoughts will be primed to home in on effective ways to transform what we aren’t happy with, including ourselves, and things communicated by others, consciously or unconsciously, will prove useful. All energy and attention should go to planning, to thinking about change–and to saving action for tomorrow (Uranus contra-parallel Juno, Venus qnx Jupiter, Mercury nov Pluto, Sun conjoined Ceres and contra-parallel Vesta)

550px-Popcorn.svgToday’s word image, for better or worse, is actually a word: hyperbole. Whether you see or hear this several times (as I have) or you find your attention drawn to something exaggerated, overblown, excessive, weigh what comes at you today carefully, so that you’ll recognize the kernel of pure truth, or the nugget of intent, around the popped-corn puffery of hyperbole.

Fulfilling a desire centered on relationships or ambitions is promised–at least, what we’re passionate about is slated for fulfillment if we are willing to be totally Self-responsible, and if we are willing to shun any methods that rely on intellectual persuasion, shock and awe, or the clout of the group to make them happen. If you’re okay with carrying your own burdens, living and responding in the moment, allowing your uniqueness to show, and being original without being unreasonably radical, then you have a good chance at making those wishes a part of the reality picture–it’s as simple, and as complicated, as that (Venus trine Zeus and sxt Uranus, Sun contra-parallel Uranus and parallel Zeus)

Today’s word image is a triangle. There are positives to this (a triangle is a stable shape) and less positive (when used to describe a relationship among three people, with the implication that all of them are unhappy), so that this symbol might suggest stability in your life at present, or a strangely balanced but unrequited relationship scenario. Too, the act of triangulation allows one to determine where something is located–meaning you may need to take data from several disparate sources to find what you’re looking for. And the shape has been employed in many ways (the distinctive ‘Yield’ sign, identifying gay individuals in Nazi Germany, in 3-D with the pyramids) so that there might be something it stands for that you resonate with personally. So, which of those applies to you right now? Or do you have another meaning in mind?

Somehow, what we honor in life today can only remain sacred as long as we ignore or deny something about its actual state. For some reason we feel it’s important to maintain our illusion that whatever we revere is perfect–and yet that denies its true nature, and denies our own instincts, which are fighting a losing perceptual battle within the mind. Though it’s impossible to get a grasp on our ‘deeper knowing’ at this point, it is possible to observe where we may be off the mark by taking a good look at our ambitions and desires; what we want will speak of where we think we’re headed, and who we really are, and allow us to know, by reflection in the mirror of ideals, what we need to modify to remain (or become) the person we want to be (Vesta contra-parallel Black Moon Lilith, Merc sq Sedna, Sun contra-parallel Sedna and parallel Zeus)

Sorry, I won’t be able to take on any more Eclipse Reports. Thank you to all who inquired–and for next time around, you can order these ahead of time through the Services page–Thank You!

Today’s Word Image is a fish, literally out of water. We all understand that saying; where are you trying to fit in, but are too far removed from the familiar and the vital? You may need to consider that either you must adapt (that is, immerse yourself in what amounts to a whole new environment, and learn to ‘swim’), or whether this (figuratively speaking) breathing air thing isn’t for you.

29 February 2016 Changing the Future

‘Sunrise’ Julius Exter Early 20th century {{PD}}

We are moved, maybe even inspired, to act on our desires or ambitions today; the problem may be that what we want is materially attainable, but contrary to our empowerment, and possibly damaging to our status. At that point the question becomes, ‘How clearly am I thinking?’ Indications are that thoughts, ideas, and communications must be modified in order to remain on the current Path; if we go with our impulse, we change the future (Mars nov Zeus, Venus sq Juno and sxt Saturn, Merc qnx NN)

Today’s Word Image is a black kitten crossing the road. There’s that old saying about a black cat crossing one’s path being a harbinger of bad luck; in this case, we have not a cat but a kitten, a very young cat. The implication may be that there’s something quite ‘new’ or fresh that may not seem like a problem now, but that will grow into some very bad luck, should it be allowed to proliferate unchecked or untamed while still remaining directly on your path.

We may not want to look, but that’s exactly where the answers lie. Louise De Hem – 1910 – ‘Pandora’s Box’ {{PD}}

The dream is real–it’s right there in front of us–but bringing that successfully into our lives will require a few things: we’ve got to keep an out sized, even overwhelming, sense of our values and priorities, and we’ve got to honor the mate, as well as the needs of everyone in our sphere when it comes to the home front. Respect for those life areas, ahead of our own desires, is imperative at this point. Too, our minds are crowded by those matters we’d like to ignore, or that enrage us, but the reality is, that may be where we find the key to dream or ideals realization: in the things we deny, hope will evaporate, or in the injustices we see, lie the answers to how the world works–and once we know that, we’ll know what we must do next (Jupiter parallel Vesta, Merc trine Black Moon Lilith, Sun conjoined Neptune)

Today’s word image is a spilled glass, that held something you didn’t want to drink. Loss isn’t always a tragedy; sometimes it’s a favor.

Something beautiful today catches your eye–and sends you a message. ‘Musicienne du silence’ Arthur Hacker c1900 {{PD}}

Beauty is our visual, psychic, and spiritual clue as to what’s wise today, with the state of relationships and finances providing info on the smart move, or the profitable one; and the loving option is another indicator of which way to turn. It’s a good thing we have this guideline, because our thinking is thrown off by the social sphere or by a bias that wants ‘more’ or ‘bigger’, which won’t necessarily serve us best; in this case, the ‘Beauty’ of something, or the kindness of someone, leads us toward what’s new, original, unique, and ultimately supremely creative, formed in the shape of our ideals (Perfecting today: Venus conjoins Pallas, Merc qnx Jupiter, Sun nov Uranus–and the Sun is due to conjoin Neptune on the 28th)

What’s your Venus in? That’s where you’ll find your image/ symbol of the day, something meant to act as a synchronous signal to you pointing out ‘what’, ‘which way’, or even ‘who’ or ‘how’. A few thoughts: in Aries you might see the beauty in anger (maybe in some righteous cause); in Taurus in things that bring comfort, or indulging in luxury; in Gemini in words or communications, in beautiful thoughts; in Cancer in the examination of something just changed (based on its ruler, the ever-changing Moon); in Leo you might see the beauty behind the pride; in Virgo the beauty in the details; in Libra in the partner, or in good manners; in Scorpio in the darkness, the mystery; in Sagittarius in reaching out, or in sharing knowledge or in the ‘facts’; in Capricorn there’s beauty in boundaries, appreciation for order and the structure of things; in Aquarius open the Self to a Higher Understanding; in Pisces beauty is found in recognizing (whether you want to or not!) the Oneness of All.

‘Spring in Holland’ Nils Kreuger 1889 {{PD}}

Continuing yesterday’s trend, we can hold our attention on ideals and dreams–and bring them to reality. Our empowerment comes in the form of recognizing what from the past has worth, what is useful now, which relationships and ambitions are worth pursuing–and if we think it through objectively, informed by higher understanding, we might, quite suddenly, get exactly what we want. Only a failure to see what from yesterday has worth and use today (and so should be treated with care), or a failure to perceive clearly where and what we are right now (in order to be able to navigate effectively from ‘A’ to ‘B’), will prevent the realization of a dream or ambition, or stop us taking a step vital to getting where, or being who, we really want to (Perfecting today: Juno parallel Zeus, Venus nov SN, Merc trine Zeus and sxt Uranus, Sun parallel Neptune)

The healing of relationships (or maybe financial situations) is possible through taking action today, or through choice. Is it as simple as deciding we want things to be healthy again? Yes, yes it is. Acceptance of the real-world as it is, as the place where (and the conditions under which) all things, including healing, must play out, is essential for success. Grounding choices that take the long-view on issues will bring the best results (Venus nov Chiron and parallel Mars, Mercury sxt Saturn)

Put my voice in your head (temporarily)! Read one of my books!
