Pluto Grinds Into Gear

Pluto spends so much time retrograde each and every year (roughly six months) that it tends, in whatever direction it’s exhibiting apparent movement, to become like background noise, a steady, grating grind, often convincing us that the conditions it offers are unavoidable, inevitable, ‘just the way it is’, simply because they take shape and then, because of Pluto’s snail-quick movement, stay that way. This is especially true at points of retrograde and direction; the circumstances around both Power and Change seem cemented in place, even as deep and scary changes well beyond our control appear unavoidable. So, simultaneous feelings of being stuck, accompanied by a sense that all will soon be flung into chaos from massive change.

At this point in time, ‘America’s Laxative’ might be exactly what Pluto is! Antique bottle of “Pluto Water” from French Lick Springs. From a display of memorabilia and antiques at the West Baden Springs hotel, French Lick Indiana.

This time, the first aspect it makes after direction will almost be inadvertent; as Pluto shifts its apparent direction (while still at the same 22 Capricorn 29 position), Mars in retrograde motion in its own sign of Aries slips toward a square, perfecting on the 9th of October–and what do we get from Cardinal squares? Action! Change! And no small amount of conflict, fiery pushes to express, and temper. It’s almost as if these two don’t mean to meet, as neither is in actual forward motion–and that can imply that the conflicts engendered aren’t ones we look for, but stem instead from more compartmentalized energies that happen to find themselves at odds. BUT, Mars will be moving retro, and Pluto will still be at the station position–and that could signal regressive upsets (that is, ones springing up, re-ignited, from the past), old territory of resentments, grievances, and Will thwarted, clashing with an entrenched power position or entity that is both immovable and seemingly permanent–yet here is the lesson of a square: that the particulars, the specific circumstances of each body, speak of the actual situation from which the conflict will arise–so that the anger may have a difficult time knowing where to go, that actions may be timid or find us ‘holding back’, and that the stock-still and apparently impenetrable nature of power matters at present is not at all the reality–things are on the brink of changing.

We may get some of the story, of both the square repercussions and the overall disposition of energies, if we examine a few other contacts on and around the 9th. At that point we actually see Zeus in Libra step in opposed Mars, forming a tight T-square with our heroes just as their contact reaches perfection. That implies that what we see aflame will be fueled by frustrations or denials around ambitions and desires. We also see that Pluto will be quincunx, Mars sextile, and Zeus trine the North Node=creation of our future comes directly from pursuing those ambitions, with success dependent on how well we adjust to and are able to modify the power situation, or to create change or even to change ourselves.

But perhaps most telling about the atmosphere may be a Finger of God with base of Venus-Juno, apex Chiron. This suggests that for each of us the power situation may feel very personal, but that with some effort, we can actually heal some significant facet of things (and this is so no matter the frustrations of the square/ T-square, though we should note, these matters aren’t necessarily the same–they could exist in two completely separate situations). We use our talents, our assets, what we care about, our relationships, or our values, applying them to the power we currently hold, even if that power seems inadequate to address a larger situation. (This is one of those times when doing what we can ends up multiplying its effect, being far more potent than we imagine possible). Putting into action what we have, doing what we can, opens the door to healing a personal wound (Chiron in Aries) around the Self, the identity, the ability to act as an individual, and around expression of the Will. Sound familiar? This may be a further expression of what occurred at the recent Full Moon, building (Pluto in Capricorn) on new, different, necessary changes to the power landscape, ones that will in time reveal Truth, and in doing so offer transformation of one kind or another to each individual.

Briton Rivière – ‘Phoebus Apollo’, 1895 {{PD}}

On the 9th there’s a Cardinal T-square involving Sun opposed Pluto with both square asteroid Zeus that probably grabs the lion’s share of our attention: we see the naked power picture, and how that doesn’t serve our ambitions and desires. This sounds like a harsh formula, until we see that by illuminating who enjoys what prerogatives, this circumstance shows us exactly what we need to do to remove obstacles, access our own power, and get what we want. Be prepared: we get blow-back from our own minds and ego, both of which may argue that problems are fixed and to think otherwise is unhealthy–but that’s not so. Take action, make plans, and do so with courage–it’s a time of unusual clarity of vision, so take advantage of that.

Today’s word image is myriad bubbles escaping from the sea bed. This image might suggest surprise, for who expects oxygen to burble right up out of the ocean floor? Look for something very necessary in an unexpected place, and believe it when you see it.

Paul Gauguin – Vahine no te miti (Femme a la mer) (Mujer del mar) 1891 {{PD}}

The New Moon in Cancer occurs at 6:25 PM Pacific time on the 15th at 23 Cancer 14, and makes only a few contacts, so I’ll be stretching orbs a bit so that we get some kind of picture. Usually I shy away from expansive orbs, as I feel things can get sloppy fast; this time, though, we have a loose Grand Trine that really may be the heart of the event. Too, I usually don’t pay much attention to what else is happening, preferring to focus on the New or Full Moon contacts so that we can delineate the NM or FM effects away from everything else, making it very clear what leads to what. Today I’m breaking both those rules–hold on!

Though I’m stretching those orbs, I won’t go crazy with it, and that means that the Mercury-Mars pairing that some might consider conjunct the New Moon won’t be for me–but we still need to note that aggressive speech under a banner of how much one cares may be the offering of the day. This also suggests that those not normally assertive verbally or with their ideas may find a little fire today and let everyone know what they think–and this possibly signals for them a new way of communicating or of expecting to be treated, courtesy of the New Moon.

There’s also the matter of Venus at 29 tense degrees of Leo. The poor girl is wound up tight about identity, who’s in the spotlight, about matters of generosity, about how to best shine, and about recent vicissitudes in Love or Money–and she’s preparing to retrograde soon, which implies that all this stress will find outlet in re-visiting similar topics, matters, or life areas from 8 years ago, whatever those were for you, when she last retrograded at approximately this point in the chart. Note this: whether or not current Venusian stresses seem to relate to 8 years ago, they will flow out through those life areas where Venus retros soon, the same ones visited 8 years ago–so don’t be fooled if the forms they take look new or unfamiliar.

Now, finally, the New Moon! It has sextiles to Black Moon Lilith and Sedna (though fails to fall at their midpoint), creates a loose Water Grand Trine with Saturn and Chiron, and the Sun-Moon/ Earth axis forms a T-square with Uranus. What’s born at the New Moon is born from instinct, or from those things we’ve ignored or denied, or by anger stirred by matters that normally fall in our ‘blind spot’–suddenly we see them, and wow, are we upset! What’s born makes for emotional release, and that can’t help but offer healing, even if the precipitating event itself is upsetting.

The idea is that if we attended to things yesterday (see my post for the 14th) what comes forward now may be something healing and emotionally positive (the Water GT, Chiron), and that potentially results in real-world change or the lifting of restrictions (Saturn). The ‘T’ involving Uranus suggests we may be taken by surprise by what’s born–we may not have anticipated the new understanding that underpins events, and we may feel pressure to ‘modernize’, to learn new protocols, to catch up to the group, or to be original and inventive–but in any case what begins is something unusual, at least in terms of what we cared about (Cancer) previously. Likely subjects are described by the natal House where the New Moon occurs, and/ or the Houses where your natal Sun and Moon sit, or those they rule (and probably a combination of these). A few will rebel or act erratically in reaction to what happens, taking anything upsetting as an individual affront, and missing the chance for healing and removal of restrictions that events bring.

The Sabian for the New Moon is, ‘A Woman And Two Men Castaways On A Small Island Of The South Seas’  Now, no matter how copacetic a scenario involving three may be, eventually someone feels like a third wheel–and that makes either a tricycle, or a really uncomfortable scene. With this image we’re told these are castaways–so involuntarily in this situation–and the implication is there’s no one else there. We should also be aware of the imbalance in energies: two representatives of the animus, doing energy and one of the being, receptive energy–and so the symbol may speak to an imbalance in our own approach that possibly precipitates the New Moon upset or change. We may be emphasizing aggression, action, ‘tackling’ a job, and using too little receptivity; the result of this kind of imbalance is typically the kind of surprises we will have at the New Moon: entirely of our own creation, we look upon them astonished, shocked that such upset, healing, and the resulting freedom, are actually of our own making.

See my books here, and watch for my new offering on Vesta, available later this month!

‘Le Moulin de la Galette’, by Vincent van Gogh, Museo Nacional de Bellas Artes

8 July we suddenly feel that everyone is a lot more caring–at least, that’s what they say, what they communicate–but our attention is likely on our own ambitions and wants, and how what we’re doing in the everyday is in conflict with achieving our goals. Actions should be based on ideals, and as long as we keep the ego out of it, we can’t be led astray or deceived–but be too Willful or aggressive, and you might find yourself tilting at windmills, Quixote-style.

Take note of the Earth-Pluto, still conjunct, and the way the Sun-Earth-Pluto forms a T-square with Zeus=at this point we may get a glimpse ahead to serious material change on the horizon, with our ambition and desire picture as the tipping factor; our desires propel the shift, which is likely generated through conflict, the need to resolve tension, or a breaking away from current direction in order to make a big, dramatic push toward getting what we want.

9 July temper, irritation, and the need to choose (probably over something we’ve been torn about for some time) come forward from our ‘blind spot’ and challenge our equilibrium. Instincts can inform the direction we take, but our usual weaknesses are still in place; that means that to succeed we’ll need to recognize that we’re not infallible, and then ask for help to fill in our own skill or knowledge gap. That’s the best bet for putting ourselves in a good position, from which we can then act in the most effective way possible.

10 July action and successful Self-assertion flow from wisdom and skills, and if we can communicate our own empowerment position, we can deal with any upset concerning current life direction (we should anticipate either criticism over our independence or leadership, and/ or a lack of cooperation from others). Determine your own course at this time, and be Self-responsible–it’s the only way to have control over outcomes.

11 July talk is about power, even if it doesn’t seem to be, and material matters may make us feel less than adequately empowered. Best results come when we stay both centered and calm, no matter what.

12 July we can draw on empowerment lessons of the past to inform our present, and erratic behavior, rebelliousness, and show-offy displays of intellect or educational heft earn us a punch in the nose (figuratively or literally) and send us reeling off course. Channel contrariness into original efforts, and don’t worry about whether those efforts are propelling you closer to goals–it’s time to indulge your unique spark, to celebrate your individuality, and to find a form for it that wreaks as little havoc as possible.

We enter Dark of the Moon today–giving ourselves a little more solitude, a little more time to do things, and a little more space for contemplation and rest will benefit everything we do, and prepare us for the New Moon new beginning ahead.

13 July we could experience difficult financial or relationship situations, and though mental processes are practically-oriented and even wise, they may not adequately honor those things we value most. Communications could be fanciful, mislead us, or inspire us, and we see precisely how to go about healing troubled situations. If we can find a way to re-orient ourselves to our highest standards, we can make valuable headway in fixing what might have gone wrong, with our pocketbook or our interactions.

14 July it’s the things we’ve been ignoring, denying, and generally shoving under the rug that trip us up today. Instinct whispers to avoid those matters but odds are we will ignore the warning and plow forward–and we find ourselves tiltin’ at windmills again. And, resulting actions and choices cause unintended havoc in the reality picture. Slow down and deal with things one at a time–and don’t leave unpleasant dealings for later–attend to them now.

A Cardinal T-Square Kind of Day

'The Gathering of the Manna' Tissot c1898 {{PD-Art}}

‘The Gathering of the Manna’ Tissot c1898 {{PD-Art}}

I saw Venus square Pluto, perfecting today, in action, as part of the long-term Uranus-Pluto square, with Venus making a T-square and only promising to get worse, as our Lady of Love heads toward conjunction with Zeus (ambition, lust, desire). The way I saw it play out was this: the group (or I should say, individuals appointing themselves as speaking for the group–Uranus is in Aries, after all) asks for discussion of ideas/ exercise of the intellect, but doesn’t like anyone they label as rebellious (others might call them original, thinking for themselves, or loners)–there is a right stance to take, and you must take it, and want to be part of our group, and if you don’t, you’re intellectually inadequate–because you couldn’t be as modern, learned, or smart as we are, otherwise you would conform! The group offers obliteration (via Pluto–of the intellect, the ego, or anything that indicates separateness) to those who don’t see the group’s standards as holding ultimate value–which says that the minute a Uranian entity like a group forms, it loses it’s Uranian qualities if it chooses to reject anything that differs from it–it in effect becomes Saturnian, authoritarian, intolerant.

Have you had an experience like this, have you watched the group reject anyone not willing to bow down? This is not the first time I’ve seen this, but I think the willingness to judge others so harshly can only be based on fear: of being left out themselves, of not being seen as worthy of high status, of having wasted their time, energy, money pursuing something someone else doesn’t seem to value or want. For some people there’s nothing worse than doing, buying, being something that others aren’t impressed by–I think I ran into them today.

What I saw followed the old idea that what comes out of someone else’s mouth says far more about them than it does about the person they’re speaking of–when I remembered that, I realized how little anything that was said, particularly that was said to me, had to do with me–and I went back and looked at my own assertions, because those are the ones I must own. I’d simply said that I didn’t think ‘x’ necessarily indicated ‘y’, nor did I believe it was necessary to follow a particular learning trajectory to end up at ‘y’–no more, no less. I just don’t hold a lot of ‘shoulds’ in assessing others–I believe the proof is in the work, and nowhere else, and I think that’s true in all areas of life: I don’t need to judge someone else as fit or not in some area, their life experiences will do that for them.

We enjoyed the Superior Conjunction today (the meeting of the Sun and Mercury with Mercury direct) which is typically a culmination point of its own. I’ve been watching for some time now as people show who they really are under the pressure of Uranus-Pluto, and like everyone I’ve been dealing with these same pressures myself. What I discovered was that I am not fearful enough, or insecure enough, and that I am not working to prove myself to others (the only person I need to impress is me), and so there are some people who will judge me and see me as inferior, because I won’t struggle with them (they think I should care what they think), or because I’m just not like them (they see their own way is superior, and if I don’t support that view, I’m wrong)–and that’s okay.

Stories–feel free to share ’em if you’ve got ’em! And have a great weekend (the Lunar portion of the forecast for tomorrow is below) Thank you!

Uranus-Pluto Comes Home: the Vestal T-Square

'Tea house at Koishikawa the Morning After a Snowfall' by Hokusai c1830 {{PD-Art}}

‘Tea house at Koishikawa the Morning After a Snowfall’ by Hokusai c1830 {{PD-Art}}

Starting on the 22nd, Vesta creeps in to create a T-square with big guns Pluto and Uranus. How, we might ask, will this change a dynamic Cardinal picture that has on-and-off been driving action for months? It introduces what may be a fairly surprising factor to the equation: our care for home, the intimate partner, and those matters in life we find sacred, are suddenly being weighed against the push for change and expression of each individual’s uniqueness (or against each individual’s role within the group). Innovation and invention, the power to truly affect circumstances, and the deep need to eliminate certain unproductive elements in the life will all threaten those sacred causes and sacred personal spaces, including relationships.

The square between heavies Pluto and Uranus perfects once again on the 20th, and may by its familiarity persuade us that, though we’re knee-deep in resolving the conflict (which could feel like many things; it doesn’t necessarily present as something over which we appear to have direct control–this likely dependent on the natal Houses through which they’re transiting and the natal situation for them itself) we may not anticipate that there are new dimensions yet to show themselves that are either a direct result of the square, or that come about because of actions we take to resolve the square. It’s highly possible we’ll see the Vestal upset as our own fault, springing from something we or others may categorize as selfish–but who will look out for us, if we don’t? And we must ask ourselves, when others criticize our choices, is it fair for me to put myself first? Nine times out of ten, the answer will be a resounding ‘Yes’.

So, we grapple, and then must deal with the repercussions of this on our intimate relationships, on our home situation, and to our causes, those things we find sacred as well as those things to which we dedicate our life energy. How are we to know that we are handling things ‘correctly’? The first ‘test’ may be the issue of fairness to ourselves; solutions are no good for anyone when we sacrifice our well-being to satisfy someone else. The next criterion may be recognizing the need for elimination or change to particular facets of our lives–the overarching purpose of the square is just that, and can’t be set aside to preserve outmoded elements that really must go, or that at the very least must morph to accommodate current conditions and needs. Lastly, we must be willing–to do what needs doing, to meet all challenges with a loving heart, and to choose what’s best for ourselves even as we vow not to harm others (and here we should note, we are not responsible for others’ hurt and pain that is in reaction to our choices–it’s vain to think we can control others’ reactions to us, and it’s manipulative for others to believe we should tailor our actions to their feelings).

If we face the conflicts and challenges presented by the square with a pure intent, meeting the circumstances with the idea of doing what’s best for all concerned, we are likely to find resolutions presenting themselves sooner rather than later–it’s our own resistance to what we know we must do, leave behind, or change that drags out difficulties. There are many possible outcomes to Uranus-Pluto, but all involve release, and taking in something new, an evolution of circumstances that reflects an individual revolution in consciousness–and since there’s no way to stop it, we’d be much better off embracing it, no matter what we think we know about how things ‘should be’.

7:30 AM PDT of the 17th the Cancer Moon creates a Grand Cross with opposition to Pluto and squares to Mars and Uranus. We see large, Archetypal energies in a bold pattern, and what it tells us is that the emotional perceptions may be challenged by three alternatives, none of which is a good choice! One direction will cause a release of destructive energies, one will have us put the ego first (in detriment to all other considerations), and the third may ask us to subsume the individuality to the group. What should we do? The first thing is to recognize the transience of this emotional challenge; it arrives no sooner than 3AM and is over by noon Pacific time, so not acting on this may be our biggest priority. Second, once the Moon moves on, the T-square with arm of Pluto will still be in place; now perhaps it’s time to look at the Cardinal energies for the punch they may be packing at this time.

Of course, Cardinal energies urge us to ‘do’, and we know this just isn’t a good time for that; at this point, we may feel a great deal of frustration, as this rather threatening scenario has been more or less in place for a long time. We are tired of the threat of loss and destruction, tired of the threat to our autonomy from the group, tired of the aggression of others threatening our ability to create and express through the individuality. It’s an exhausting dynamic, but we can actually get off the merry-go-round for a bit, with just this thought: it’s not the right time to act, so we don’t even have to entertain these energies for a while. Period.

The above is from the current ECLIPSE Weekly Aspect Digest—get yours here!

Olaus Magnus 1555 'On the Activities of People at Moonlight' {{PD-Art}}

The women were like beings made of moon milk, and their skin shimmered with little silver dots like those of the salmon in springtime, and the women’s feet and hands were long and graceful.

Clarissa Pinkola Estes Phd,  WOMEN WHO RUN WITH THE WOLVES

The Full Moon for September occurs at 2:17 AM PDT on the 23rd at 00 Aries 15–the Aries Point! In the most straightforward terms, the Aries Point is the slice of space/ time where spirit enters matter, the collision point of  all that is real and unseen with discernible material form. So, a big deal, as for the individual, this point in the flat chart of the natal horoscope designates the point at which the individual meshed the spirit and the physical as we know it; it’s the place where the Soul entered active engagement with the present lifetime. What does this mean for us when the transiting Full Moon coincides with what we might see as a doorway between spirit and material?

The occurrence of the Full Moon at the Aries Point may open a doorway to our origins, to the most fundamental expression of who we are, at that moment when we both took material form (birth) and still retained full consciousness of the Soul essence. The Sabian symbol for 0-1 Aries is: ‘A Woman Just Risen From the Sea; a Seal is Embracing Her’ This image brings to mind the Archetypal story of the Seal Woman who mates with a human male, has a child, and slowly loses her health–all because as she celebrated herself, a hunter saw, and took the sealskin she wore as her ‘true’ identity. The story is given form in ‘Sealskin, Soulskin,’ in Estes’ marvelous ‘Women Who Run With the Wolves.’ She divides the story (which is told in many cultures in many forms) into parts that I know  I can’t improve on, so we’ll look at each part and how it might relate to the Full Moon experience.

Since this is a Full Moon, we know we’re speaking of culmination, the rounding out of some part of our own story. First, there is a kind of initiation that comes through a loss, in one form or another, of the Soul. I think this can be equated to birth, represented by the Aries Point as the doorway; we can’t help but become disoriented, losing a bit of ourselves in the process. Then one ‘loses one’s pelt’ in earnest–we are trying to enjoy our new human form, but in celebrating this we set aside the Soul connectors we still retain, in order to fit in to the earthly realm. We substitute the values of the culture and our tribe, and though these are not completely alien, they do represent the values of consensus, and that means we lose our awareness of those things that make us unique; this loss is represented by ‘poor’ choice (and by that I mean the kind of choices we inevitably make in an attempt to regain that part of ourselves we sense we’ve forgotten) and the way we are lured by the things we think will provide our lack. So we are, like the Seal Woman, left naked and shivering as we search for our eternal Beingness.

Next there is communion with the hunter, the individual who has ‘taken’ our skin–of course, we don’t know that we are facing the thief. This is represented by any animus oriented energy to which we succumb: our own interior animus, our ego, or an external animus: a man, ambition, society’s definition of ‘making it.’ Note that though this story is told as a woman’s loss, this tragedy happens to men, as well; they lose their unique ‘Soul skin’ in an attempt to be the kind of man society (and perhaps the partner) demands, rather than the kind of man they are naturally. The ego and its particular form of vanity promises to fulfill us, to return to us that missing Soul piece, if we will only do its bidding–but this is just not true–it cannot return what it does not possess.

The woman, the entire time she has spent on dry land, has been hearing the call of the sea (her true environment) and has been conscious of her vibrational connection with her child, her spiritual ‘home,’ in a sense. This spirit child in the story is the child of the Seal Woman and the hunter who captured her by stealing her skin. This is representative of the pure, inner connection we retain to the Soul (it can be ‘the inner child,’ though I think it’s something much purer, the experience of the Soul rather than just the seed-manifestation of it), and it’s this element in the story that, agitated by its mother’s distress, stumbles out into the night and trips on the mother’s wrapped up Seal skin, finding and delivering back to the woman her true identity.

So, in all this we are seeing an Archetypal journey in miniature; the Full Moon presents us with the ability to re-acquaint ourselves with that moment when as Soul we slipped into flesh–and this is a vital point, as it is the one time in the incarnation experience (other than the moment of death) in which we can be fully aware of the enormity of who we are, and can re-connect so directly with it.

Using our strict orb, we see that the Sun/ Moon/ Earth makes only one aspect, a T-square with Pluto in Capricorn. Ah ha! Besides being able to glimpse in its purest form the Soul and its intentions on incarnating (in the Sabian, this is the seal embracing the woman, a return to the natural sensibilities), this Full Moon also offers the power (Pluto) to transform (Pluto) our own manifestation in the material (Capricorn). Since the inner is the outer, and the outer the inner, this means we can change anything on any level, with corresponding changes visible (or felt or realized) in the opposite venue.

In ECLIPSE I called this Full Moon “the true birth point of fated Cardinal action,” and outline the other influences in effect at the moment of Full Moon fulfillment that will act on our transformational choices. If you’re planning on getting this issue and you just haven’t yet, now’s the time http://dogandsunflower.wordpress.com/new-summer-2010-eclipse/  The life long journey to empowerment is closely related to  the mini-empowerment we will be instituting with this Full Moon; see more on that here http://dogandsunflower.wordpress.com  in my new book on Juno. Thank you!

And have a wonderful Full Moon transformational experience!

Cardinal T-square, Moon in Capricorn, Moon in Sagittarius, My Daily Astrology Diary

Mars, of course, is raw at 00 Scorpio, but honestly, I didn’t anticipate how much energy would’ve built to this point when I did the forecast (so since I don’t always get it perfect, maybe you shouldn’t buy ECLIPSE!  http://dogandsunflower.wordpress.com/new-summer-2010-eclipse/ Though it does have pretty pictures, and articles on Pluto, the 6th, and more! And I’d still want the Venus retro material and the lowdown on the upcoming Cardinal Point Moon!) Today seems to be a watershed for this build-up, but it’s only a plateau–we see tension, force, and deliberateness (for this seems the most fitting word) in what’s accrued, but this is just the beginning of the change.

For most of us, it’s one form of turmoil or another–so I have to blame it all on the Cardinal Cross energies, and the still-barely-not-quite-in-place T– and the entry of the Moon to Capricorn later today, and its meeting with Pluto. I think the Lunar energy has done a version of its old school horary skill, Translation and Collection of Light, grabbing the blast of Uranus/ Jupiter as it squares them (they’re subdued now, and yet maybe more dangerous, poised as they are ‘below the surface’ in Pisces–yes, I’m talking about that Laurel and Hardy of the sky–is anyone as old as I, with a memory of those two comedians?–Jupiter a rotund Hardy, feeling like the brains of the outfit, bossing the actually brighter Laurel, who’s having a high-strung Uranian breakdown when his idea doesn’t prevail–and isn’t that when things snap, when one rebels or strikes quick as lightning, when the energy is frustrated and, I’m thinking, betrayed–because that’s what I’m seeing all around me, individuals who have been done wrong, it’s coming to light, and now we’re hearing the gentle ‘click’ of the chamber enclosing the bullet–they are getting ready to address the situation).

The thing for all of us to know is: this is not the end, we are not at ‘the result,’ we are mid-way in the process. What we are seeing now is what’s been growing and accumulating for some time–the negatives swirl and gather the flotsam of random hate and anger and jealousy and present their gift (and I mean that in the German sense, as the word means ‘poison’ in Deutschland!) to the too-trusting, the unsuspecting, those who have looked away from the nastiness, feeling there was nothing they could do.

There is a group out there who will ride through this relatively undisturbed; these are the individuals who’ve been willing to confront the bad guy all along–that willingness acts as a protective shield, because if there’s one thing we know about nasty people, about evil, is that the last thing they want is a confrontation, to be called out, because, really, when good musters itself, truly comes to the showdown in all its brilliant, deafening glory, it kicks bad’s ass so easily–remember that next time the choice is presented to you.

6 September 2010: The Saturn Butterfly Effect

06 Monday Sep 2010

We all know about the ‘Butterfly Effect’ theory, right? How could we not, after its repeated mention in popular culture; with everything interconnected at a quantum level, the flap of a butterfly’s wings in South America ripples and magnifies and picks up energy along the way until it forms a tsunami in Asia–or so the theory goes.

So, I’m thinking that what’s going on right now is something of a Butterfly Effect involving Saturn, but in reverse: the massive energy of the much-discussed Cardinal energies of Pluto, Uranus, Jupiter are, rather than showing their considerable muscle directly (exceptions of course being contact to one’s natal placements), they are funneling the energy into Saturn–and it’s coming out in Saturn-related events.

This is just a guess; maybe it’s entirely personal for me. But, other than those Cardinal contacts, Saturn has been pretty lonely lately–and the Nodes are now just within a 5 degree orb of T-square contact, and I’m wondering if that isn’t creating an effect where it’s all about Saturn, with the energies of all the other contacts moving into reality, into visibility, through the Saturnian structures of our lives–and I’m seeing Saturnian upset all around me. Just this weekend within my sphere, there’s been a bone infection discovered, an infestation of the framework/ walls of a house, and the experiences of a few people I know who are getting a good, hard dose of reality–and reacting to this Saturn energy with some of their own Saturn stubbornness and stonewalling, a clear rejection of the need to modify their approach to the material–and yet the Nodes are moving inexorably into contact with the Old Man, and I’m thinking that when the T perfects (by degree, at 7 of their respective signs, on September 25th), the Saturn effect will reach a climax; we’ll all, at this point, see marked change/ effects in the Saturnian structures of our lives.

Anybody else feeling structures shifting beneath your feet, reality changing, or the framework of life threatened by decay (Pluto), untoward expansion or through social feedback (Jupiter), or the expression of one’s individuality and the consequences of this within the group (Uranus)?

We’re already in the Dark of the Moon for the upcoming New Moon. See ‘What You Won’t See on the Blog,’ and much more, here http://dogandsunflower.wordpress.com/new-summer-2010-eclipse/ Thanks! And here’s a look ahead at the Autumn Equinox http://judecowell.wordpress.com/2010/09/06/ready-for-autumn-equinox-2010/
